You can travel by car from Aiyansh west to Kincolith at the mouth of the Nass River along the newly finished Nisgaa hi-way, or go east to the Stewart hi-way then north to Hyder Alaska to view the grizzly bears and some of the many glaciers along the way. East from terrace by car you can visit Kitwanga and the tour of the totems, then to the native K'san village in Hazelton, and carry on to Smithers. From terrace traveling by car west to Prince Rupert is always an adventurous journey along the Skeena River to the Pacific Ocean. Here The North Pacific Historic Fishing Village museum in Port Edward claims to be the oldest surviving salmon cannery in British Columbia. You can always enjoy halibut and chips from one of the many restaurants that Prince Rupert has to offer, and don't forget to check out the fishing vessels tied up dockside on the prince Rupert water front. To the south by car is Kitimat boasting some of the best salmon fishing around, and of course the world famous giant spruce tree.
